Advisian is delighted that Professor The Hon. Stephen Martin has chosen to join our team as a Specialist Advisor. We believe this is a fantastic opportunity for Advisian and our clients, who will benefit from Stephen’s knowledge of, and access to, government and industry. His insights will undoubtedly prove invaluable and we’re very excited to welcome someone of Stephen’s calibre to the team.
Stephen has enjoyed a distinguished career so far, with his most recent position as Chief Executive and Managing Director of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA), since 2011. CEDA is a respected national organisation that brings together leading thinkers from business, government and academia, with the purpose of trying to influence good public policy for the economic and social development of Australia.
Prior to that Stephen held positions in Federal Parliament for 18 years, with three of those years as the Speaker of the House or Representatives. In between those roles Stephen enjoyed a number of senior positions with leading universities and ran his own consulting business. He is also currently Chairman and Independent Director for the Bank of China (Australia).
