Advisian signs MoU with world-renowned North China Power Engineering

12 December 2016

Advisian is proud to announce we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with one of the largest state-owned enterprises in China, North China Power Engineering (NCPE). NCPE specialises in engineering survey and design, consulting and general contracting, and has won numerous awards for their efforts in developing national and industrial standards. By the end of 2013, NCPE had completed more than 1180 power generation projects, including some 402 large and medium power plants, accounting for around one tenth of the total installed capacity in China.

Advisian and NCPE’s MoU will operate as a non-exclusive agreement, with the potential to collaborate on one of the 1GW Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) demonstration projects recently released by the Chinese National Energy Administration. With our strong capabilities in conceptual design, basic and detailed design, and as owner’s engineer for bid preparation, evaluation, and design review and delivery, Advisian has extensive large-scale global CSP experience on projects including:

  • KHI 50MW Solar Tower CSP with Storage (South Africa)

  • KAXU 100MW Parabolic Trough CSP with Storage (South Africa)

  • RICE 150MW Solar Tower CSP (United States of America)

  • REDSTONE 100MW Solar Tower CSP (South Africa)

  • NOOR-III 100MW Solar Tower CSP (Morocco)

  • SHAGAYA 50MW Parabolic Trough CSP Project (Kuwait)

NCPE was also one of the first Chinese EPC companies to begin operations abroad and now has a strong presence in Africa. They are focusing on growing their business in South East and Central Asia, which is where Advisian and NCPE see great opportunities for collaboration in the future.
