Bruce is a professional engineer with over 40 years’ experience in energy development, pipeline transmission and project management. He has had extensive involvement in petroleum transportation facilities consulting and execution roles worldwide with emphasis on Australasia, S E Asia, Africa and the Americas. His particular focus has been on project concept development leading to engineering and delivery.


Major projects have included the Trans-Alaska oil pipeline, the Frigg Field development in the North Sea, the Paktank refined products network in Germany/Holland, the RAP products system in New Zealand and the 755 km S W Queensland gas pipeline in Australia. Bruce has led studies of the proposed 2,650 km system from Iran to Pakistan and India and, more recently, has consulted for major oil pipelines in Bolivia and South Africa and gas pipelines in Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea. He has developed major pipeline integrity management capability for the United States pipeline industry pursuant to DOT rulings. Bruce is a specialist in Select studies, pipeline route analysis and HVPL transmission, including CO2 systems and technical due diligence of existing assets.

Bruce was General Manager of Worley Pipelines & Terminals (formerly Pipe Line Technologists) business unit from 1989 to 2004. He is currently head of Pipelines Select, the front-end division of WorleyParsons in Asia Pacific with global coordination responsibilities. He is included in the Pipeline Industry Legends of Australia publication, circa 2012.
