During his 13+ years in consultancy, Jim has undertaken a wide range of assignments across North America and Europe in the oil & gas, chemical, life sciences, government and retail sectors. Jim specializes in helping clients identify business improvement opportunities that lead to significant financial and operational benefits through rigorous analysis of business and operational processes. He has functional domain experience in asset management, organizational excellence, quality systems management, business process re-engineering and business performance management systems. Jim has led projects including one for a multi-national oil company that identified over $22MM in annualized savings through improved organizational effectiveness, operations and maintenance process efficiencies, and better railcar fleet management. He coordinated the delivery of the analysis between headquarters operations and refining operations. Jim’s clients include Marathon Oil, Whiting Petroleum, Noble Energy, Ashland, FMC, Lubrizol, Rohm & Haas, TPC, Wyeth, Comverse, TNK-BP, Pfizer, Radio Shack, Abbott Labs, Diosynth Biotechnologies, Kellogg’s, Lanxess, US Army, DSM Pharmaceuticals, Bayer, Firestone Polymers, Peoples Energy, Telus, Volvo, REC Silicon, Hercules, Johnson & Johnson, Arizona Chemicals, Ranbaxy, Alkermes, Church & Dwight Prior to consulting, Jim spent 11 years in the financial services industry where his work included business process change and implementation of business performance management systems. Jim has a Bachelors of Science degree in Managerial Economics from Carnegie Mellon University.
