He is a waste management specialist and has developed extensive skills which have been applied in a variety of projects including waste facilities design, integrated waste management and strategic planning, construction management, contract management, HSE and quality management. He has recently completed a concept study for an oil field development in Kenya and an EPCM contract for an integrated waste management facility for Chevron in Cape Town. Other recent projects include specialist input for waste management related to off-shore fracking practices for PetroSA and waste licensing of a hydrocarbons tailings facility at a GTL plant for PetroSA and the authorization for a large hydrocarbon storage facility at Saldanha on the west coast of Africa. He was instrumental in the establishment of a Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO 9000:2000 standard within KV3. He has extensive experience in contracts management for the Water and Wastewater Treatment Division and more recently in the Environmental and Waste Management Division.
As Chief Engineer at the Johannesburg Metropolitan Council he acquired sound experience in various aspects of municipal engineering such as the assessment of traffic safety and land use, design of storm water and roads infrastructure and the resolution of roads and storm water problems on site.
