With over 30 years’ contracting experience in the oil and gas, refining and petrochemical industries, Steve’s expertise lies in the areas of project management and project engineering, including, management of conceptual, front end and detailed engineering design, engineering management, project management consultancy and concept study management.
During his 23 year career with WorleyParsons, Steve has developed a broad knowledge and experience in consulting, front-end engineering, detailed design, PMC and EPCM roles through delivery of many projects for numerous clients. Such clients include Shell, BP, Tullow Oil, Amoco, Statoil, Esso, Borouge (ADNOC Borealis), KNPC, KOC, BG, Lukoil, Conoco Phillips, Tamoil, BOC and Sakhalin Energy. Progressing through project engineering and engineering management positions on these projects, Steve also held several corporate management positions before assuming roles as a project management consultant and project manager.
More recently, Steve’s customer focus whilst managing concept select stage studies has led him to provide advice and additional value added services, as well as developing documents to support client stage gate reviews. Steve has particular expertise in development of master plans, contracting strategy, execution strategy, risk management plans, interface management plans, schedule reviews, estimate reviews, benchmarking and scopes of work.
