Carbon Capture - Use and Storage (CCUS)

CO2

Governments and businesses across the globe have committed to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in an effort to limit the global rise of temperature and the negative effects of climate change. Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) is among the tools available for reaching net-zero emissions (NZE) and an important tool for the energy transition. The number of CCUS projects and their capacities have increased significantly globally in recent years. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA)1 CCUS is one of the most cost-effective solutions available for some hard-to-abate industrial sectors to achieve significant emissions reductions.
