Global Carbon Interventions 2023 - Part I

This white paper provides a global view of the main regulatory and market instruments for the management of carbon emissions. Building on ACRIS 2020 white paper on Carbon Interventions, this document updates and reviews Carbon Intervention Mechanisms (Emission Trading Systems, Carbon Taxes and Carbon Leakage Mechanisms) that are currently implemented in several countries. Special attention is paid to the European Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
